Workshop: Skilling up for the Future of Work

If the 20th Century workplace was all about using the left side of our brains for applied logic and analytical thinking, the 21st Century will be all about optimising our right brains.

As technology increasingly assumes the routine and standardised work-based tasks that don’t require much creative thinking, humans have the unique opportunity to use their intrinsic talents to add value product and services development and provision. This will involve nuance, context, sense-making and relationship-nurturing.

While we all naturally have these skills, they have been marginalised in the recent past, in favour of analytical and metric driven capability.

Right brain skills will be a core focus for employers of the 21st Century. But what are these skills and how can we develop them?

Our one-day interactive workshop provides an overview of the key skills that will facilitate success in the future of work. We look at:

  • Growth mindset, curiosity and exploration; pre-requisites for lifelong learning
  • Adaptability and resilience
  • Emotional intelligence (EI) and social awareness
  • Focus and attention

What will you gain from attending?

You’ll learn more about these talents, how they appear naturally and how they can be developed and enhanced through focused practice.
