Ghosting continues to rise among Gen Z and millennial jobseekers

Almost 4 in 5 young job applicants admit to ghosting prospective employers - but they're not the only ones doing it.

‘Ghosting’ - abruptly ceasing communication with someone- isn’t just a dating thing anymore - it's now quite common at the workplace. 

 

The practice has become common among both job applicants and employers during the hiring process. And career experts believe that this risks reputational harm to employers and jobseekers alike.

 

Almost 4 in 5 young job applicants admit to this practice - but let's not forget that recruiters are guilty of this too, and contributing to a sense of normalising this poor etiquette.
