Return-to-office mandates bringing huge hike in childcare costs

The impact of rising childcare costs has been highlighted by the campaign group Pregnant Then Screwed.

Employers’ new return-to-office mandates in recent months are resulting in higher childcare costs equating to an average of an additional £664 every month, according to the group’s survey of 2,000 parents.

This in turn is causing the knock-on effect of people leaving the workforce or seeking more flexible working arrangements.
